Most of Bruges' medieval architecture is still intact and you'll feel like you’ve stepped back in time as you explore areas such as the beautiful courtyard of Grutthuse Palace. The courtyard in the shadow of the Church of Our Lady which dates mainly from 13th 14th and 15th centuries and features the tallest structure in the city. See the city from the top of the belfry and you will see the church standing high above the rest of Bruges. There are plenty of museums to visit including the Groeningemuseum which houses six centuries of Flemish and Belgian paintings including great works by Jan Van Eyck and Rene Magritte.
